Hi Everyone,

This site have been great support for me on my first BB purchase ( 2 weeks ago).

I first got 8700g, which is so great device, now i'm thinking of upgrading to a higher device, i basically need a Qqwertz device, with expandable memory, camera & gps, dunno if the Curve is the right answer, & if yes, how whats good & bad about it.

I searched the forums & found different opinions about it, help is much appreciated as always.

Thanks for the advice, one more info 8310, 20 or 30?, also how much can i get for my 8700g in mint condition?.

The model curve you get will depend on what carrier you have. Not sure which Orange carries. The 10 has wifi and the 20 has gps and are GSM and the 30 has gps and is CDMA.

8310 = camera + gps
8320 = camera + WiFi
Both are GSM devices.

I made the switch from the 8700 to my 8300 and haven't had a days regret! There will be minimal, if any transition period from the side track wheel of your 8700 to the center track ball (although it's more of a clicking toggle than a rolling ball).

I've used a variety of PDA's and this unit is simply amazing in it's UI, I've never had it crash and only early on had to do a battery pull due to memory leakage. The capacity will depend on the operating system. What you unit will be shipped with with hold at least a 2gig-that is at least what I am using. I don't know what the upper limit is (RIM's website would clarify that for you- or someone else on here). However with the new OS (4.5.**.**) is released it will expand the maximum capacity upwards (at least to an 8 gig card).

I only had my 8700 for a month when my wife decided she wanted it and I took the opportunity to grab a Curve- best decision ever! She now has gotten an 8830 from work so we went form being Treo users to having 3 BB is a short span of 3 months . . . I think a berry a month is a great rate . . . the bold should hit at just the right moment!
