| Bluetooth DUN Please Login to Remove! Hello all,
Quick question (I hope)... I want to use my BB 8130 as a modem for DUN via Bluetooth. From what I've read, everything leads back to tethering. Maybe I don't know what tethering is... In any case I connected to the internet just fine but not in the fashion that I wanted to. I don't want my BB/laptop to connect to my mobile carrier and access their (Bell Mobility's) internet service. What I want to do is use my BB as a modem to connect to my ISP's (Telus) dial-up. I paired my laptop & BB, setup the network connection, and I can get the computer to open the port and dial but it doesn't get a 'dial tone'. So I guess I'm wondering if:
a) anyone understood what I just wrote?
b) how can I get my BB to dial a local number (my ISP's dial-up) and relay the shrieks, buzzes, and blurps, back to my computer (via Bluetooth) as though it were 10 years ago and I plugged a phone line into my computer?
Thanks in advance.
David
