Talking VZW Curve Questions

Please Login to Remove!

First time poster, long time site fan

I just picked up with VZW Curve and it is phenomenal. But I have a couple questions:

1.) Is there a way to turn off the dial pad tone on the numeric keyboard? Even when the phone is on silent and I go to dial a number and it makes a tone. I do have the key tone off under "Settings" but this does not appear to make a difference.

2.) When I go to check my voicemail, sometimes after I dial in my passcode the voicemail will play right away but other times the operator will give a long winded rant about the time the message was sent, the number it came from, and the length of the message before actually playing the message. Is there any rhyme or reason to this or a way to control it? I get a lot of voicemails working off the phone and it is extremely annoying!

3.) The backlight just turns itself on at random times! If I am typing a text or something it will all of a sudden make itself brighter even though its been out of the holster for little bit!

Anyone have any input on this or had similar experiences? Let me know, thanks!

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

For issues 1 and 3 go to Options/screen keyboard and you will find the settings you want to change.

#1 you can silence the keys except for the numbers keys when dialing a phone number.
#2 are you pushing the # key after your passcode.
