Default Hiding the blackberry messenger icon?

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable or hide the BB messenger icon (smiley face) that appears when you have a new messenger message? i could not find a option to turn that off, maybe is there a theme taht does it?

oh no i hope your wrong and there is a way man! lol! if there isnt a way, is there any other form of messenger service i can put on my blackberry that does not have a icon that shows up that informs you of a new message?

You can uninstall it via the desktop manager application loader... or use a theme (like the AT&T icon theme) that puts it in a folder.

No if you don't want that you can remove BBM...

Yeah, but then he wont have messenger. I am guessing he still wants to use BBM, but doesnt want the notification on the top of the screen

If you want an I. M. Program you can use Bee Jive it only gives you a star next to the app icon. No separate notification.

Good point, jivetalk does not give you that other notification at the top of the screen. Works well too. Nice call

that is correct! i still want a messenger but i do not want a notification icon on the top. I will check out bee jive, thank you!
