Default How do I save an incoming number to an existing name?

Please Login to Remove!

How do I save an unnamed incoming number to an existing name in the address book? Such as when a known person has a new number or uses an unknown number to call in?

Now I must re-enter the number to the same name and retype all the information. Is there an easier way?

I've not found a way to click to save to an existing name either, I use copy/paste to put it in.

Same experience here, which I find a bit ridiculous. Many times with previous cell phones (and with my 7250) have I had the need to save an incoming phone number to an existing contact. I'm not sure why RIM missed that one...

Thanks for posting this question. It's a shame that there doesn't seem to be a solution, but it's somewhat comforting to know that I haven't been laboriously cutting and pasting for no reason.

with regards to numbers...does anyone know of a way to forward someone elses number to another person without having to type it in/copy+paste it into a message?

Wirelessly posted (7290: Mozilla/4.8 [en] (Windows NT 5.0; U) BlackBerry7290/4.0.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

I would like A way to not need to copy/paste as well.

I think there may be A way to have some special system generated SmS messages sent to units so the user has the ability to copy to existing Home / Work / Mobile / Other .

But this would need to be done by the carrier.

I'll look into this , then come back and post more.

Regards,
~

Come on, man, we can't even forward a name to ourselves without having to copy/past it in, I doubt that what you're asking is possible. I guess not everything can be perfect, I can live with that...

What's so difficult about copy and paste? Quick and easy...

True, but with the PIM functionality of the BB being as strong as it is, it should have the ability to take an incoming call and add it to a current contact, period.

When I first got my first BB I think I had the ability to do this right off the bat .

Wish I could reproduce it .
