Default Verizon Plan

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my 8330 curve yesterday and i had a question about the plan that i have. I have the 30 dollar data plan (not the full 45 dollar one) and i was wondering what that entails. The guy that sold said something about emails being the main difference, but i didnt quite get what he was saying. What emails can I get forwarded to my phone, if any? Can I get services such as hotmail or gmail forwarded? I am currently a student and the university has browser access to email, can I get those forwarded? Im assuming the blackberry email account i set up is under my plan (, right?

Thanks in advance, I hope there wasnt a better place to post this, sorry if there was.

Clwelle, welcome to the BBForums.

Your $30 plan is likely the BIS plan, BlackBerry Internet Service, which is pretty much unlimited data for the device, email, web browsing, third party data , etc. All except SMS text messages which is routinely an add-on.

You can configure you email to the device. It is a simple procedure, however HotMail has been disabled my Microsoft from being able to forward to BlackBerrys, and for the time being, Microsoft requires using the $20 Hotmail Plus accounts.

All that said, here is the simple setup you will need:

Personally, I would not use the address... those email addresses do not filter spam, and if you ever change carriers, you will lose it.
