Default Change connection from gprs to EDGE

I wonder if there's someway or change is settings to make the connection work only on EDGE not gprs on Curve 8310?, my data plan supports both connections but it keeps connecting to gprs all time.

it will automatically connect to the higher speed network where available. If you are going from EDGE all caps to gprs all lowercase you are having an issue remaining connected to the BlackBerry network.

You should notice the network progress from GSM to gprs to edge then EDGE as the signal strength is recognized by qualifying equipment. When the indicator changes from EDGE to anything else Sith is correct, you have signal reception issues (inside building, below ground...)

I'd agree -- it's likely a coverage issue. You can't make your BB improve coverage.

If you do figure out how I guarantee that you'll make a killing on it.

However, I have seen instances where certain BB's seem to get "stuck" when going from areas of no or poor coverage to areas that have good coverage. A battery pull usually helps in such cases but I've never found the real cause.
