Default 7520 Ring Volume FRUSTRATIONS!

Please Login to Remove!

I just traded a Motorola i530 for a Blackberry 7520 through Nextel. I love my Blackberry, but compared to any other phone I've ever had, the Blackberry rings like a complete wimp!

Their "loud" setting is an absolute joke!

It's almost impossible to hear in the car with the radio on.

Anybody have a solution on this? I know I'm new to the forum, but I understand this is a common complaint.

you are truly out of luck unless you just use the vibrate function we have been battling this issue for ever.

That along with the overall volume of every aspect of the BB annoyed me. If my phone is in the next room 90% of the time I miss the call. I'm sure ( I hope) it will get better.

You may want to think about a 7100 series BB. It lacks the full keyboard but its usable. Verizon and Nextel are supposed to release a CDMA version this fall. The 7100s have a speaker which sounds the ring tones. There's also rumor the Verizon BB will have EVDO.

DavidE posted this in another thread - I have used this ringtone on my 7290 and it is actually loud enough to be heard from another room!!!!

"Visit http://tones.jimvaughan.com with your BlackBerry, and select "Three-Second Ring 101 96" to download it."

It works!!

I downloaded that ringtone from Jim also and though it is nothing musical for the people that want those, it is certainly the loudest one I Have heard on my BB. My hat's off to you Jim. Appreciate your effort as I am sure anyone who is looking for a louder tone will as well. Thanks.
