Default SIM question

Please Login to Remove!

Will my Cingular BB 7290 still function as far as email is concerned if my SIM is not installed? I find it necessary on occasion to use a cell phone when I am on duty as a fireman instead of hauling my BB around with me. It would be nice to have my phone and my BB together in case i need one over the other but using the BB as a phone is just a plain PITA.

Help is appreciated.
