Default Sync without USB??

Please Login to Remove!

8830 Curve; Carrier - Telus. Telus do not offer the cable-less sync or Data transfer via Bluetooth!! Is there a "patch" or third party app. that can be installed?

What OS do you have? Grab another vendors OS and remove the vendor.xml file and then upgrade the OS. I would post a URL but the forum won't let me until I have more posts. Search www dot blackberryfaq dot com.

I don't see what your carrier has to do with wireless transfer.

For wireless sync you need to be on BES. There are a couple of 3rd party solutions out there as well.

For Bluetooth sync your carrier is completely irrelevant. Search the knowledgebase at Blackberry.com. There's a document that details the steps you need to take to set up Bluetooth sync. The main issue is that you need to use the Microsoft driver for your PC's Bluetooth adapter.

he's talking about syncing calendar/contacts via bluetooth on a BIS I take it. on BIS you only get e-mail sync, calendar/contacts must be done manually either via USB or bluetooth.

And a carrier can easily disable bluetooth syncing, which telus does.

Ok, thanks all. I have figured out how to complete a media BT transfer, works just fine. Vista has the drivers! I just did not know the proceedure. "menu & send via BlueTooth" seems too easy now!!

Also I am told by Telus that I have to us BES to enable Wireless Outlook sync. So will give it a go... and advise. (if this fails I will try the new OS opton from another vendor)

Thanks again.
Cheers.
