So, I downloaded the new google maps with voice search (beta) and lemme tell ya, beta is too optimistic a label.

Granted, the software is free and all, but wow. 10 separate tests, and no luck.

It had no idea what I was saying. Even the test search of "pizza" didn't work.
So, in conclusion, Google Maps with Voice Search (beta) is not ready for the minors yet.
