My BB is not connecting to the Desktop Manager. Windows makes the "Device connected" noise when I plug it in, but DM doesn't recognize it and it says disconnected. I've restarted my computer and BB, and it still does it. Help!
Okay, I'm uninstalling DM now. Will tell you how it goes. Does that mean I will have to reinstall the 4.3.0.127 software I installed(not on BB, on DM) Also, should I uninstall Blackberry Device Communication Components?

No, don't uninstall!!! Just install back over the top. That will reload all the drivers. However, if you uninstall then, yes, you'll have to reinstall the OS.

my BB is read by my computer, im albe to copy, paste pics, vids, music on it but the DM still says disconnected. Ive ryed to connect using the connection settings on the DM but it still says there is no pin number or anything.
Ive tryed versions 4.2,4.3, and 4.5 so yes, ive installed, reinstalled many times.
I, too, am having this problem - sort of.
Using the USB cable, I have recharged the BB a few times, and I have downloaded a game from the BB site onto my 8700, but the PC refuses to admit the BB is connected.
Hence I cannot transfer my favourite ringtones or background photo from the PC to the BB. (Even my Nokia managed this.)
I will try the re-install as recommended and see what occurs.
