Default BB Pin Number

Please Login to Remove!

I viewed through the fourm and see where some guy wants everyone to post their pin and become one of his BB contacts. Additionally, I've browsed through the BB FAQ section looking for Pin info; and, found where you can find your pin, but already done that.
Other than becoming a BB contact point with other BB Pins, what is the BB Pin used for?
Thanks.

P.S. Sorry if this is a common question that is answered somewhere else that is extremely easy to find and understand.

The PIN is instant message to message that uses data instead of SMS/MMS...

If you have a data plan then PIN to PIN is included in that....
