I have a question, I'll be getting an 8830 World Edition from Verizon shortly, and I have a decent chunk of phone numbers and email addresses in my Samsung A870 cell phone and my Dell Axim X30 PDA, both have Bluetooth and the PDA has IrDA on it, and I was wondering if there was any convenient way to get the contacts copied off those devices on to my BlackBerry or if I'm looking at a lot of typing when I first get it

The easiest way is to sync those devices with Outlook and then sync Outlook to the BB. You can't bluetooth transfer contacts on a BB and the BB doesn't have IrDA.

When I purchased my 8830, verizon transferred my contacts for me from my old phone - the transfers were not perfect but in the main, were all there.
