Question BES at work, personal email from home questions

Please Login to Remove!

I recently was added to the BES at my office, have been using BIS to receive personal email- and it works, but I'd like to ask a few questions.

If I use Outlook at work and at home, can I use Desktop redirector on my home PC (always running anyway) to synch messages, calendar and contacts?

I'm trying to eliminate reading every email twice- since Outlook at home doesn't think any have been read. I'd also like to see my calendar for personal and work events.

If redirector will accomplish this for me- where can I obtain the latest version- and how do I need to install it? I don't see reconciliation options as an enabled function in my DM software, it is grayed out. Since I use the BES at my office, I didn't know which version I select or what to tell the DM to install on the home PC.

My apologies if this is well documented- if it is, I cannot find it.

Sincere thanks to any who can offer some suggestions.

Redirector won't sync calendar and contacts. IIRC it will reconcile email but I believe it requires Exchange. It's extremely flakey in my experience and I really don't recommend using it.

Keep in mind that once on BES, your personal stuff might not be personal any longer. IMHO, it is always best to keep company stuff on a company device and personal stuff on a personal device. Much cleaner and safer that way.
