Default NON-Blackberry Beta Opportunity

Please Login to Remove!

i wasnt really sure where to post this, so i thought the general forum may apply.

Feel free to move it where its appropriate.

Centercode has a large beta test which we need several hundred participants in the New York City Metro area. If you know of anyone who might be interested in participating in a very cool beta test, we want them.

This exciting new hardware product will provide portable Internet functionality. Surf the web, read the news, check your stocks or watch videos on YouTube while you walk the streets of NYC. We have hundreds of open spots!

hope you guys can get in. Myself am awaiting a response.

I would say don't ask the OP he signed up as well to find out. Sounds interesting. I would apply if I lived there just for the fun of it.

its a beta, lets you test new stuff before it hits the market, i believe that a blackberry user in this forum, is not just an average BB user, but one that is interested in technology and therefore interested in the beta.

hence my reason for posting. and i just checked my response and didnt get in, hope somebody can. i think it may have to do that i'm one zip code outside the target area.

I checked out the web site and found this interesting:

Optional Qualifications
- Tester with no previous mobile web browsing experience

Kinda leaves most cell phone users out of the test doesn't it?

Why wouldn't I ask the OP? If he's here trying to sell what he's interested in, then I'm curious why he feels he needs it in addition to the BlackBerry. From his description, and from the info offered on the website, it's a second toaster. My toaster toasts just fine.

Believe me when I tell you that you'd be hard pressed to find someone here that doesn't know what beta means. I just meant what does this beta offer me that I don't have already is all....

My toaster does a great job as well and also burns in a picture of Mickey Mouse and plays a Disney tune when completed.

I think we all know the same vague description. No one said ditch the BlackBerry for an unknown, untested device. It probably is not even geared to a BB user. I am guessing sort of like a scaled down android device for non power users.

I love JiveTalk for IM but would happily Beta another product for the fun of it.

Not trying to start a war here. Just many tech people would find any beta interesting.

Probably why it's an optional qualification and not mandatory!

I don't see where the OP made any claims that it was better...
