I bought a Blackberry Pearl 8120 on Orange about a month ago and it's great. The best phone I've ever had. However, I have a few questions about the Internet connections.
When using the Facebook program, I can open the program and do everything within it with just a mobile connection (I.E. No Wi-Fi) but when I try to 'Connect to mobile site' I get the error below. Why can't I go to the mobile site using the Blackberry browser using my BIS? Why must I use Wi-Fi?
"This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again."
Is there a setting that is incorrect on the BlackBerry or is this just the case with the Facebook program?
I bought the BlackBerry as a refurb. It's in perfect condition and it has v126.96.36.199 software on it. Is this up-to-date?
My other question... I have only had an EDGE connection once. That was when I was in a hotel and there was Wi-Fi. I don't understand that. My friend get's EDGE all the time on his non-Wi-Fi Curve on O2.
