I have (well my parents) the Verizon Family plan with 700 minutes. no texting nothing, just the most basic services. right now there are two lines on the plan, and i'm trying to add my Pearl i recently bought. I go to Add a new line but i have to choose a new plan b/c the one im on now allows for two phones. after that i can't go any further b/c it asks for me to choose a new phone, nowhere do i see a place to add a phone without purchasing one.

It isn't too painful...Verizon requires that new Blackberry lines be activated manually.

Took me 7-15 minutes tops.

If i was to do an ESN change so that one of the activated phones number went to my BB, would i have to reactivate the phone that the number is being taken from?

I am pretty sure in the end, you are going to have to call. You trying to get this done quickly or hide it from mom or something? My experience with CS is always great, never had any of the horror stories happen to me I have read on here.

Verizon wants to talk to the person that is paying for the plan. They will ask for at least the last 4 digits of the SSN. If the account is password protected they might want that also.
