Hi.

I have just got my new phone and have set up my email. However my emails are going into my email inbox on the phone as well as the one I believe is my SMS one. How do I stop it going to both? Also every so often it tries to send emails from the "Desktop" and they won't go through. How do I stop this?

All messages go into the general messages folder and to a folder for each account, as that is how the BB works. Delete from one, gone from all. You can separate the SMS messages Messages > Menu > Options > General Options > scroll down to SMS and Email Inboxes = Separate.

Note: A quick search on "separate SMS" would have lead you to the answer.

Where are you seeing "Desktop"? Desktop generally refers to a BES account. If your BES account is having problem then you should contact your BES admin/IT. If you're not on BES then did you get this BB used or as a refurb?

If you're referring to Messages it's not an SMS box. If you separate SMS/MMS as Dubdub said you'll have an icon named something like SMS/MMS.

Messages is for all incoming messages (email, SMS, MMS, PIN as well as saved browser requests, saved HTML pages, and logged calls if enabled). You can't stop email from showing up under the account-specific icon as well as Messages.
