Canadian bb users have been getting hosed by Roger for years, here is what Apple thinks of the pricing for their iPhone

Instead of sending the Roger's stores 10 to 20 phones per store, they should have sent 2 or 3 per store. Although, Apple is probably obligated to send atleast a certain amount. Or they could have always mis-shipped them to Siberia...

Wirelessly posted

Would it not have made more sense for Apple to have had this arguement with Rogers before signing them up as an iphone provider?

Yes!

It is my understanding that they had come to an agreement on reduced data rates prior to rolling out the iphone in Canada. I am not sure if Rogers is breaking the agreement or not.

However if Apple want's to sell the iphone in Canada Rogers is the only GSM carrier in town for the moment.
