Default Using the desktop redirector

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I am using the desktop redirector and I am receiving messages with no problem. However is there anyway to create an icon on my BB to separate the e-mails like my other accounts? All the emails go to my main messages folder. I tried sending the service books to see if that would create an icon but no luck. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums.

I'm an 8110 user, too, and I've never run across that kind of thing - may I ask why it's important? It may be possible to make the handset respond differently when those messages arrive, or to configure other messages away from where those go.

All messages go to the main folder as that is how the BB works. If you use BIS, you will have separate folders for each email account as well as the main folder. However, when mail is deleted from on, it is gone from all. I assume there is not a similar option for Redirector.

Might try setting things up in BIS if you really don't need Redirector - it is really flakey and you have to have the PC running with your email account open and connected all the time. Not so with BIS.

You might want to see if Empower's BES inbox works with Redirector. I have no idea. I'd also seriously recommend not using Redirector.
