Default My "Intro to BlackBerry" question

Please Login to Remove!

I hate to do this. I have looked all over the forum to try to find my answers.

Just got the BlackBerry Pearl (cat's name - the only way my wife would let me get one!) last week, and I have to say that the book that came along with it is horrible. Does anyone know where there is an all-encompassing manuel for my device? The BlackBerryFAQ's were very helpful, but I feel like I will never fully understand everything I can do with this.

Also, the messenger is a little confusing. Is my name supposed to be under my contacts? I have tried to add my friend (who also has a Pearl)(not the cat, the phone)(sorry), but it keeps coming back with my email address and name. And now I cannot delete myself either (sad line). Any help or pointing in the right direction is appreciated.

I did find information about gmail accounts and the overall "slowness" if I chose IMAP, so thank you all very much for finding that.

Thank you!

Your user guide can be found here:

BlackBerry - BlackBerry Pearl Help

Also, make sure you add your friend with the Pearl by entering their PIN number.

That is why they don't give you a book. It usually comes on a CD labeled "BlackBerry User Tools" that comes with your BlackBerry.

I didn't even get the box when I left the store. I saw them take it out of the box, and then they handed me the battery, the quick quide, and the USB cable and said have have fun.

I should go back and ask them for it. I wasn't even thinking!

Thanks again.
