Why Wait 30 Days? I bought a new Curve on my Sprint account by adding a new line for my son. I am (he is) keeping the new line, but I want to move the Curve over to my line and buy (full retail) another phone for his. Obviously I'm getting the Curve for the new line discount and replacing my Pearl. Sprint says I need to wait until the new line is 30 days old to do that. Why? Is it because of the 30 day trial period? If so, can I waive that so I can do what I want? |
can you swap esn's on sprints website? when you login to your acct? i know verizon allows this, if you can, just do it yourself :) hope this helps, sorry its not much. |
They do that so ya don't get 2nd line, discountef phone, and cancel line with old phone. I managed to get away with it when my iphone got stolen, but ya gotta be a good talker (which I'm not, just got lucky for once). But people were doing that a lot, hence the 30 day rule. |
Result - found out you can swap ESNs on the website, but it blocks the new phone. My new solution was to go to Chat With Support and ask them to just swap the two blackberry phones. My main goal was to get the 8330 for my use. I can wait a few weeks to give my son his phone. They are swapping right now for me. Yipee! |
great, i'm always happy to hear a good outcome with any customer service. |
