TMO UMA Billing

Folks,
Please check your Minutes usages ... TMO is adding UMA usage to your monthly minutes (peak min) .. i got a bill of $400 ... :x ... i called an resolved. make sure you check your bills

Can you elaborate?
I use UMA to surf the web and do not get charged. However, If I call someone while on UMA it indeeds count it as minute usage.

Wirelessly posted (BB 850)

If you have the t-mo@home plan the use should not count against your minutes... If you do not have the add on UMA use does count against your minutes...

I wonder if I sign up for TMO @ Home so I have "land-line" service at home, if they'll include my UMA minutes on my 8320 fo free too.

I don't think they will because it is two different lines of service

This happened to me my first month out with Tmo. I caught it in the first few days by checking my account on line and CS told me that there was an additional billing instruction step that had to be taken to make sure that my UMA calls were being included in my minutes. She made the change and things have been fine since then except for one glitch that was probably user error when trying to change one of my faves.

The only way it "might " not use the minute, if you do not subscribe to the @home feature, is to turn off the mobile network connection and keep the wi-fi on. Have not checked it counts aginst my minute and will not be able to check until Monday.

I have *no* carrier coverage at home except for UMA through my Wi-Fi. If you use UMA it uses your minutes, unless you have the @home add-on. No way around it.

Too bad. Thanks for the tip hdawg.

You're welcome sugar.

Heh, your name is actually sugar, so I don't seem like a sexist jackass ... guess I just gave it away ...
