This is the best forum for Blackberry users looking for straight answers. I check it almost every day for new discussions and solutions.
Great Job!

Thumbs up 07-21-2008, 11:42 AM

Being new to upgrading OS or adding themes, when I encountered error JVM 102 on BB 7290, initially I panicked. Thanks to this particular how-to article below, I was able to resolve the issue twice and enjoy future upgrades without any problem.

BlackBerrys a security risk, says U.S. congressmen

blackberrynews.com /2008/07/11/ blackberrys-a-security-risk-says-us-congressmen

That has to be my favorite. It just highlights the stupidity and bureaucratic trend of our elected officials.

This is my favorite forum:

Aftermarket Software - BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community

The reason people purchase any smartphone, beside the fact that it is a phone, and a little black book (address book), and the fact that you can browse the internet.
Of course the other thing that people want a smartphone for is for the apps. Look at the IPhone, it was bashed left and right for not having applications other than those that were installed. This forum, after I got my BB 8800, helped me realize how many apps there are out there for the BB. I found so many useful apps, a good number of them were either free or real cheap. Thanks to all those who contributed to this forum, as I am one of MANY who have benefited in some way because of your work, trial and error, and hobbies.

I really like this thread and I have probably visited it more than any other thread here:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...es-thread.html

It's nice to have a central location for all of the different utilities and software that you can get for a BB.

A very useful and under-used technique of making applications (whether it be COD, JAD or JAR) wirelessly available to the masses!

Extremely useful and first place I look to find answers to problems. Most useful for me was the DST update a couple years back. Saved me a ton of time.

There have been so many things that I have learned from this great place and all the latest OSes for my 7100t, 7130c, 8800, 8100 (wife's) and my newest 8110 for those days that I don't really want to carry the big phone..... I don't think that I could live without BB Forums!

The latest useful tip came from this thread http://www.blackberryforums.com/beta...-os-4-5-a.html

I prefer Google maps but I also like the features in the new BB Maps like the satellite count and speed to name a few.

My favorite article is http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ee-memory.html (Losing Call Logs, SMS and Emails). It has to be one of, if not the, most often asked question.

BBF was the first BB related forum I found when I got my first BB and one I visit daily. I've learned a lot here, and hopefully I can contribute back to the community.

This my favorite post. It saved my bacon when my wife's phone started showing up with a 507 error after she hung up from a call.

With the endless list of modifcations and applications possible for the BlackBerrys, I think this is the best thing I've ever did to mine. Freeing up a significant amount of memory for better performance and space, it set a good foundation for the rest of the mods.
