I implemented on 8700g, 8100 and 7290 HS and i was sucessfull on this handsets, Now i can use internet at these 3 hs without having BB service or BES or BIS.

Please share with everyone. Was it just setting the APN? There is no way to get BlackBerry email without BlackBerry data service. You can easily get basic Internet access.

Since the browser is just a service book you can put a SIM in, get the service books to get the browser icon. Then just use the APN settings to get carrier data access.

Can't they see if you are using the browser by the amount of data usage? I noticed this same thing when I put my sim into my wife's phone(no bis)...she can browse, download, use 3rd party apps that require internet, but I'm afraid that using it much will incur data usage charges.

I am live in Vietnam (no BlackBerry Service here), But i can use BlackBerry Browser (apply some trick) to browser the Web and OTA download. Ofcouse i have no BIS BES . just only GPRS.

I don't understand what you're saying. If your SIM is for your BB and you have a BIS data plan then you will have data services when you take your SIM and place it in another data capable phone. The BB data plan is a superset of the "standard" data plans. No additional charges.

Sorry if I didn't explain it fully. After placing my SIM in her phone (I have unlimited BB data plan), and resent service books, I removed it and reinserted her SIM. Now she has browser icon and can use the internet and 3rd party apps that require internet, even though she has no data plan on her phone. No push email though. She doesn't use it though because I hid it for fear of huge data service charges.
