Default Sync outlook w/o data plan

Hi everyone.

Was not sure where to post this, so apologies if its not at the right place. Been a BB owner for 2+ years now and have what is probably a very basic question.

My wife wants to have a BB but without data ; she does not need email, internet, etc.

However, she does want phone and to be able to synchronize her outlook calendar (and likes the BB keypad & OS)

The question : Can you manually synchronize the BB only with the desktop manager to outlook (on a home desktop) or does this require a data connection with a carrier?

Yep the software comes in the box and is designed for just this. Its a wired or bluetooth sync, and not automatic over the air but works very well.
