Default 8110 - Automatic keyboard lock

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have an 8110 Vodafone model - is there anyway of setting up an automatic keyboard lock - which puts the keyboard lock on after, say, 20 seconds???

I know I can maually lock it, or press the top button to make it sleep - but I would like this to be automatic.

It look a picture of the inside of my pocket yesterday!

you can go to options>security>general settings, and set the password to enabled, set security timeout to 1 min. Thats the lowest time it can be set to.

Put it in the pouch and have it set to lock when holstered. It will lock in the presence of the magnet in the case

Thanks for your replies:

NickfromIl - Do I have to set a password - can the password be blank? All I want to do is lock the keyboard... (I don't know what my password is...)

akosnitzky - I've been there - I can't find any options for automatically locking the keyboard

Sith Apprentice - I don't want to use the pouch...

If you do not use the pouch you will get dust/crud under the trackball and you might wish to become comfortable with removing the trackball to clean it.
