Question Pearl 8110 will not stay connected with USB

Please Login to Remove!

As in my other post I take care of my devices, plus this one is no more than 1 week old. I'd just rather not deal with the idiots at the store. I did however swap out the data cable to test that (it wasn't working with my 8310 either, 2 birds 1 stone). It will stay connected until the "there are updates for your software" thingy pops up, I should probably click no, but my clicking finger is sometimes faster than my brain. Then it restarts, & no longer will read the device at all, not even the charging icon will pop up. I tried charging it too & for some reason no go. Anyone know why its doing this???? HELP!! Its frustrating, I just want to switch devices.

Default

It may be a bad USB port on the computer - try plugging into another one.

Default Pearl 8110 will not stay connected with USB

I do not think that it is a bad usb port on the computer.

I have the same problem with my 8110 when trying to connect it to one of the four usb 2.0 ports on my laptop.

the ports are working fine with other devices.

why not working with 8110?
