Unlock Problem - No one can solve to date. BB 7100g IMEI: 354594003356387 Unlock Code: 24768579 Carrier: Rogers The unlock code has been confirmed from 3 different sources, but every time it is entered the result is, “code error: please wait…” Further info: 1) The IT policy has been removed 2) Password is disabled 3) It has been updated to the latest handheld operating software 4) I have done “Wipe Handheld” 5) The carrier is Rogers, Canada – their unlock codes are 8 digits. So far no one has been able to solve this mystery. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
I thought Rogers quit producing unlock codes. Personally, I don't know how long Rogers codes were, i thought they were longer. |
First i paid $20 for the unlock code, when that code didn't work i used a program called "free blackberry codes reader" and it gave me the same code. Today I took it to a shop and they also confirmed that the code is correct. |
HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center ß check with them. I have unlocked many devices. Also just to be sure email the unlocker a screenshot of your status screen. And you did check to make sure the device wasnt already unlocked right? |

Yes. After entering MEPPD, Network is "Active". And when I put in a SIM card from other carrier it says Invalid SIM Card or something to that effect. |
i cant remember, does the 7100 show the numbers as you are typing them in? Quote:

Where it asks to enter the Network MEP code... yes it does show the numbers as they are typed. |
Possible it is hard locked, meaning you entered the code in wrong too many times. When you do mep2, how many tries left does it show?? |
It showes 180 tries left. Yes i know thats high, but BB under Rogers Canada starts the device with 250 tries. |
eh, are you sure, 250? |
I also have equipment to "force" the code into the device if all else fails, presuming the code you have is correct. |

Hes right on that one JS, shows 250, but drops rapidly every time the code is entered wrong. |
Right now I am in the country of Belize doing volunteer work and will not be returning to Canada for a year so i need a solution i can do myself. |
Id love to help, but i dont think there is anyway to do it :-( |

might shoot by there while in Greece :-) |
That would be quite a trip out of the way. I have heard its beautiful there, but nowhere on the way to Greece. |
I found a solution to my problem. It happened to be in another thread: 24241-sim-unlock-tool.html The application "SIM_Unlock_Tool_USB_BlackBerry" did the trick. Running did a simple flashing to my BB, after it brought the number of MEP code tries to 10, i then entered the MEP code and ...... code accepted. Thanks Blackberry forums!!!! |
