Default 4.0 BES, Outlook, Modified Date Issue

Please Login to Remove!

Our company uses Exchange Server 2003, and BES 4.0, as well as we have the 4.0 Desktop software. It seems after upgrading to this and using wireless sync, my Outlook "Modified Date" changes in bulk. weeks and and weeks of mail will be modified to the same date/time on the MODIFIED Date (not the received date)...like all of them at say 8/5/2005 at 4:02 PM. I have seen this in action...outlook will say Updating Mailbox..and it will have a progress bar...very similar to when it updates for the first time (in Cached Mode).

So...our Exchange Admins are blaming this on Blackberry. I tend to agree. I did a desktop sync and the MOMENT I uncradled it after the sync, I saw this happen. However, the other times it happened, I had never synced.

Questions to the group: Is this BES 4.0's fault? Is it Normal? Can it be prevented?

Reason for concern is my Outlook will not Auto Archive as Microsoft looks at the modified date... so now I have to manually archive.

Thank you all
