seeing how sprint is selling my treo755p for $199

interesting little story how i found this out...

i was actually about to leave sprint last thursday, but the operator gave me the number to sprint retentions - and told me to just ask them what they can do for me



all told, i went from paying my usual monthly bill (fair-and-flexible plan) of $140-160/mo to the new sprint "everything" plan ($99 total no-matter-what - good deal!)

AND get a new curve for $179


i thought that was a pretty good deal! so i re-upped for 2 more years w/ sprint




then sunday i went online to read a little more about the curve and (!!!) there it was for $149


so... i called them back just this morning and asked the lady how she would like it if she bought a pair of shoes for $200 and the next day saw them on sale for $150, wouldn't she be just a little bit upset?

i got the money back!LOL

one other thing!!




i also noticed... sprint usually makes you actually "mail in" a rebate form in order actually RECEIVE the advertised price (takes a few months to get it too! how conveeeeenient)

never understood that - probably counting on a certain percentage of the population forgetting to send it in, thus netting $100 each time they forget! NOT insignificant!


but... apparently they are bypassing that now - you get the discounted price w/o having to mail anything in

They make money even on those who do collect. How many people use the rebate card to the last penny. It nets them millions in unused rebate money since they get certain tax advantages for giving the rebate then get to keeo a certain percentage of that not used.
