Do blackberry’s come with the capability to view Word documents and Excel spreadsheets? Do I need to get a patch, download, program, software, firmware or just a midget with binoculars to view these things?

you need to update your software. at the top of the 8300 section is a sticky with alink to OS 4.5 for the 8300. This will give you ability to view/edit/save documents/excel files/powerpoint files on your device. Follow the instructions and you will be good to go. Welcome to the forums

Sith, if we take the OP at his word, he wants to view -- not edit -- doc and xls files. Obviously 4.5 gives him that plus -- but doesn't he have that capability (viewing alone) with the vanilla 8300? I'm asking, since a quick check of my profile will tell you that I don't have one!

Forget the DocsToGo - where do I get a midget with binoculars? I'd pay good money for that.
