Default fine tuning email settings

I'm wondering if there is a way to alter the blackberry message settings so that:

1. email composed and sent from my computer does not appear in my blackberry mailbox.

2. i am alerted to new text messages, but NOT to new email messages received (ie, new message icon is fine, but no vibrate or ring).

Thanks!

Are you on BES?

If you go into profiles>advanced, you can set the alerts for Messages[email@whatever.com] to None for in and out of holster.

Welcome to the forums!

1. I don't believe you can turn this off.

2. Try this: How do I edit my notification tones (profiles)? - BlackBerryFAQ

Do you get your work email on it, and did they set it up for you?

If the answer is no, than you can log into your BIS account via PC, and add a filter to not forward emails that contain your email address in the To: section.
