Default does backing up the BB backup the security policies in place as well?

Please Login to Remove!

hi all,

right now I have a personal device that has a corporate security policy loaded on there (because I synced using desktop manager for my calendar). I'm not on their BES, I just use it for my own personal email and PDA - but i think its useful to sync it with my work laptop for the calendar

my question is, I backed up my BB recently on my home computer, and was wondering, if I get a replacement BB for whatever reason, and restored it to the image I have on my home computer, would the security policy be put in place for the replacement BB as well? or would it just restore my apps and personal data?

the reason why I'm asking is because its proving difficult to contact the admin of our BES to send me a blank security policy.. having my work calendar isn't worth the hassle of having to input an 8 character password every 30 min..

any thoughts would be appreciated.. thanks
