Default 7520 sim card HELP ME PLEASE

Hello somebody,
I am tryin to copy my address book from one 7520 sim card to another 7520 sim card. The first card i have has to be sent back to nextel so i want to copy my old sim card to my new one. Please some help me! Can someone please help me through this. Greatly appreciated.

Take it to a nextel store and they have a device that will transfer data from one sim card to the other.

I am a newbie - so all of you 'Blackberry Vets' be gentle if I am wrong.

Address book information is NOT stored on the SIM card of a Blackberry like it is on a cell phone. In order to get your Address Book information from your old BB to your new BB is one of the following ways:
  1. Back up your old Blackberry using the Blackberry Desktop manager, and restore the data to the new Blackberry
  2. Sync your old Blackberry with some application (i.e. Outlook or Outlook Express), then Sync the new one with the same application
  3. Manually input the data

No matter how you slice it, you will require the information from your old Blackberry.

I second this post. BB sims only hold the service stuff.

Again - I am a newbie - but I think this is your answer
  • Launch BDM
  • Double click Backup and Restore
  • Click Advanced
  • Highlight on the right what you want to back up (in your case address book is what you want)
  • Press the arrow pointing to the left
  • Press Close
  • Press Backup
  • Press Save
  • DONE

Once you have Desk manager up and running just do the intellisync and it will save everything to outlook.

No problem... I do have one suggestion. Try it, and before you get rid of the old Blackberry, make sure everything copied over...

dont just sync it back the data up the sync only stores phone and address stuff the back up stores everything
