Well the usual suspects are programs like weather watching programs that are constantly polling the web for weather info. Do you have any programs that provide real-time data?

I just got an extended battery for my 7520 and it has helped a lot! I can now use it all day without having to charge. before, I could only use it for a couple hours (bb msngr, Phone, e-mail, DC) before it was at least halfway down. Also, I have noticed that if I am actively using bb msngr, then my calls will often go directly to VM.

I think I understand the problem because I have noticed my BB doing the same thing. I catch it constantly uploading and downloading like it's caught in a refresh cycle. My only thought at the time was that PocketDay was causing the issue because of it's refresh of weather/stocks etc. And I still hold to that theory to some degree because when it happens, if I exit the PocketDay application it stops. However, nobody associated with the PocketDay application has ever had it happen to them that I know of.

How long do you normally charge your battery? I also recently got an extended battery and have found the life of the charge to vary from day to day. A couple of times I have gone 2 to 3 days on a charge. Usually it lasts about a day and a half or so.

It will last about 24 hours. I let it charge an hour here and there while I am at my desk or overnight if I didn't get the chance to charge during the day.

I have a nextel 7520, am using PocketDay and I get the same thing. It doesn't happen everyday, but every few days I get constant upload/download arrows lik eits retreiving data. It goes on forever and drains my battery. What gives?

Last week, my 7520 was up-arrowing and down-arrowing like crazy. I could not get it to stop. Turned off the radio/back on, tried doing a master radio reset. Nothing worked. Pulled the battery and back in, and it got back to normal.

yes. When I pull the battery is fixes the problem. Then later the same thing happesn. Its doing it right now as a matter of fact. When I exit PocketDay it stops..a soon as turn PocketDay back on it continues... hmm. a bug?

Man, I don't want to have to do that, get rid of PocketDay... I really do love that application, but agree with all that it's the culprit here. Too bad....
