I lost a bet to my wife, and now I have to live without the blackberry for 2 weeks. My qestion is, how do I retrieve my "blackberry e-mail" ie (username@att.blackberry.net), while using MS Outlook??

I guess I need the Incoming Mail Server name for the blackberry, and also the Outgoing Mail Server name.

I did a search, but I couldn't find any answers.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!

It can only be read on a BlackBerry device.

That's what I thought, is there a way for me to forward it to another account that my Outlook can retrieve??

Log into your BIS account and set up the auto BCC.
It will only work for emails received since setting it... not existing emails.

you would need the incoming server address and the outgoing server address. tech support reps have a way of finding this for you online or you can do a search for common server addresses online. but if you have the same address on your outlook as is on your blackberry, you have to configure outlook to leave a copy of message on the server or else you won't get any more emails on your blackberry because outlook is getting to them first unless it is a default blackberry email address.

Sorry, but you are absolutely wrong on this.
You cannot retrieve email from your BIS email account (yxyxyxyx@carrier.blackberry.net) from anywhere other than the BlackBerry device linked to said BIS account.

AUTO BCC only applies to sent mail, not incoming.

You would have to edit the accounts that you have forwarded to that address to forward the mail to another account.

No way to read mail sent directly, other than on the BB itself.

My mistake... I meant to say Auto Forward ... not Auto BCC.
The Auto Forward setting in BIS will allow incoming messages sent to the @blackberry.net address to be forwarded elsewhere.

...one reason why best practice is to not actually use this address. However, that doesn't really help the OP.

Definitely try to stick to using an existing email account that offers online (web) and POP/IMAP access.
