I am new BB 7290 user. My service is with Cingular.

I bought the phone on 8/7. In email under "General Options" I have it set to keep messages for 15 days. I'm now beyond 15 days but no messages have been deleted. I don't really want to keep all my messages on my BlackBerry.

I am a Mac user and synchronize using PocketMac. I'd appreciate any help in arranging my BB so it will delete messages more than 15 days old automatically while not deleting them on my Mac.

BTW, how many messages can a BB hold before it fills up?

I gotta say the BB is a nice device and I love but the built in electronic manual is skimpy and that's really all I got with my BB except for a quick start guide.

I want to update this. My BB 7290 is in fact deleting emails more than 15 days old. I was confused because I have my call log show up with my emails and those remain beyond 15 days. But my BB is deleting emails more than 15 days old as I set it to do. That's long enough for me.

Is there any way to edit that setting to allow it to keep messages longer?

Messages > Options > General Options > keep Messages.

Your options are 15, 30, 60, or 90 days. Well, aside from the Forever setting.
