Just curious if any folks here know.

What data is transmitted through the BES (that could be logged or saved) and what is actually just sent through the provider in terms of text message, emails, web browsing etc?

Just wondering, because we are able to obviously get to intranet sites. Are all traffic passed through that way and outbound, or does your blackberry pick which direction to go (external vs internal).

Thanks.

Certain things may not be transmitted via BES but from a practical standpoint it really doesn't matter. Most things that are not transmitted via BES can be pulled or logged via the BES.

Hence the recommendation that we always make: if it's private then keep it off a compay BES-connected BB.
