Default 4.6 DM Now Available? - 07-26-2008, 08:57 PM

Desktop Manager 4.6 Now Available | BlackBerryNews.com

Seems legit. I'm downloading now.

Those of you who have been using the beta any reason to not use it with 4.5.52?

Yes, it's legit or we wouldn't have posted a link to it on BBNews.

It will work fine with 4.5.0.52.

OK thanks. I noticed it was posted by a news robot, so thought I had better check what with all the excitement about betas and all.

Getting ready for the bold. Supports backing up device memory and has a module for running Media Sync.

Used it on 8310 with 4.5.55. Worked fine.

Any idea on whether it will work on an 8320 with 4.2.2.180?

I'm been procrastinating about installing DM 4.5 and now I'm wondering whether to skip it entirely...

Just used it with my 8330 and it worked fine. (4.5.0.51)

Question 07-27-2008, 10:23 AM

I have version 4.6.0.6 [April 25, 2008]

Is the new version posted the same one? I downloaded mine a couple of months ago, and when I went to download this new one, the file name was exactly the same.

One thing I've noticed is that Yahoo is once again a sync option. It was there on 4.2 but after that I had the bug where it was not an option. I don't sync to Yahoo other than as once in a while alternative backup, but nice to have it back.

How is 4.6 for speed? I found 4.5 incredibly slow.

But it does seem faster than 4.5.
