Default BB 8100 sent emails sync

Please Login to Remove!

Dear All,

I do not use BES and i think what im looking for may be a feature of it but i thought id ask your knowledgeable selfs if i may.

At the moment i use Exchange 2003 to forward all emails sent to an address onto the BB, this works fine but now the user is wondering why when they sync the BB all of the sent email items that have been sent from the BB do not go to outlook. Can the normal sync'ing software sync the sent emails like calendar and contacts, maybe another piece of software ? or is it only the BES that can do it?

Thanks.

Hi:

I have the same question. I am using BIS and would like messages sent from my BB to be available in outlook. Is this possible?

IAM01 and pez0494, both, welcome to the BBForums.

On BIS BlackBerry service, email is not synced (actually it is never synced on BES or BIS, it is actually "reconciled", but that is another discussion).

To answer your questions, in most cases, your BB-sent mail won't reconcile to your Outlook. Using Gmail, Yahoo and other rare IMAP email accounts, you can reconcile message deletes and message read flags between your BB and the email server--not Outlook (as Outlook only pulls mail off your email server, right?).

You can BCC yourself on all sent emails from your BB, is one way. And then you will want to set filters on your BIS account to filter all those emails from coming back to your BB.
