Ok, I searched and I am sure its out there, but I have not found it......

I am going to give my nanny one of my Blackberry Curves and put it on my family share plan. Before I do this, I want this Blackberry to be setup as a Phone and messaging device ONLY. I want to delete access to email, internet, etc. This was my old Curve and I had two email accounts on it and had access to the internet and what not. How do i delete all of this so that she can not access any of it?

--Remove the PIN from that carrier account

You only want Phone and SMS/text messaging, correct?

Probably too late already but you could transfer (log in and supply the new PIN) the BIS account to your new BB instead of the two steps above.

Yep. Unless carriers were changed. I assumed (I know I know) if his old device was still getting his email, he must have changed carriers.

carrier is the same. I am giving the nanny my old BB, I have another BB that I have been using for a few weeks now. The old BB is still getting emails from my email accounts. I have gone into the service books and deleted the email accounts from there, but its still getting the test emails I send. I wonder if its doing this b/c I have put MY Sim card back into it an not the new Sim for the new number?

Did you pull the battery and reboot after deleting the service books?

Your putting your SIM back in could have enabled the SBs to resend to the device.

I think it was the SIM. I went and get the new number and a new SIm and got everything to work. So now It does not get emails or have internet access. My problem now is it gets nothing more than a GSM signal. Before it would get at least an edge if not an EDGE signal. Is this b/c it no longer has a BB pkg or is this due to another issue?
