Default Strange PIN Messages?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey Everyone! I'm fairly new to Blackberry but I usually can figure most things out myself. However, I recently recieved two messages on my BB and I'm confused as to what they are. Here is one of them... the other looks almost identical:

From: [email address]
Subject: RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2
Body:
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry Handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.

END

THere is more to the message. A bunch of this:

BEGINETP 285
AePgH9QAAAAAIBAIM........

And a ETP.DAT file attached. What are these? Thanks for the help.

Never seen that one. Not sure it's a PIN message, necessarily.

Not PIN messages. Did you try to start Enterprise Activation? How are you doing e-mail redirector? BES, NWC or desktop redirector?

Ah, come to think of it... I opened Enterprise Activation to see how it worked. I really didn't do anything with it but I suppose that could have done a few things. But to answer your other question, I am just using WAP; no BES or Redirect.

Those messages apear when you attempt Enterprise Activation. If you are not using BES or other redirection capabilities just delete it. Apparently, BES/redirection can be set up for "automatic" or remote activation using the enterprise activation in the BB. I am on BES and our admins set it up for us. I found that out when I tried to use the Enteprise Activation, got a few of the same weird messages and still wasn't on the BES !!

Wirelessly posted (your electric?: BlackBerry7520/4.0.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3 UP.Link/5.1.2.12)

From the looks of it, it would be "desktop" but would like someone else to confirm this before you do.

If I remove a service book, will it create automatically?

I am on BES and I get a message with ETP.DAT.

Thanks!
