Default Backing up specific service books?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to extract the service book(s) and save them for later use, should that become necessary? I know that for AT&T and the Yahoo Messenger, for example, the service book is available on the 'net.

My wife has an AT&T branded Pearl (on the AT&T network), but without a data plan... and getting the ability to send/receive MMS was a nightmare, but we finally got a helpful rep to send the service book(s). I am loathe to upgrade her OS at this point for fear of losing the service book(s)... can they be extracted from the backup or the phone itself?
