Default Sync Problems

Please Login to Remove!

I am having Sync problems with my 8830 and Outlook.

When I connect the device and it gets ready to sync, the following intellisync error message pops up

"Access to the currentrecord is denied. Validate your permission to access the record"

That is all it says. I don't know which record it is.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Is this the first time you have tried to sync? If not, what has changed since your last successful attempt?

Are you on BES by any chance? If so, an IT Policy might be the issue. If so, I don't recommend trying to get around it as your company put it there for a reason.

No I have synced before and was successful. I have had trouble with Outlook but I now have that resolved. I never changed any of the settings but i did something called a cleanview switch on my outlook Clander and resolved that issue. I tried to sync before doing this and got the same message then. I contacted my carrier (verizon) and they were unable to resolve the issue.

CDH - can you try deleting and then re-adding your Outlook profile? Make sure you know all of the settings before you delete it.

Doco - sorry about that. It's another problem and you should create your own post and question. Check out BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ for information.

NJBlackberry,

I don't mean to sound like an idiot but when you say delete my Outlook Profile, I assume you are talking about from the phone. How do I do that???

Are you on BES or BIS? Try Email Settings > Add/Delete Account > provide the email address and password, remove and readd.

Happily syncing to BES with The Message Center Exchange Hosting

I don't know if I am BIS or BES. It is a personal email and not a business email. Do remove and reaply these settings on the device or the computer?
