What's with our phones haveing sms texts delayed hours sometimes, and completely missing them all together sometimes. Is it T mobile? Or is it my 8100?

SMS goes through the voice network, not the data. Odds are if you are having problems with delayed text messages its on the carrier end not the device end.

SMS issues are generally due to problems on your carrier's end. Lost and delayed SMS messages are precisely why I always PIN if possible.

I have a coworker who is on a SideKick who complains of the same issue. Like others have said, carrier issue more than a device issue.
