Cool Windows Share and DMZ (newbie q)

Please Login to Remove!

Sorry for the newbie questions. I did a search and could not find what I'm looking for. I'm on a trial BES server and Exchange, using a 7510 behind a firewall.

I see where I can use MDS to access Intranet applications. But can I directly access Windows shares? If so, can I authenticate to A/D?

Do most people put the BB router in the DMZ? Although it's not officially recommended, it sure seems like a logical thing to do. I have the manual on the subject. Any particular problems with setting this up?

Thanks in advance!
