Default BIS Help

Please Login to Remove!

So I was having the same problem as a few others on here, from what I was reading, and saw the steps to correct the issue when you send an email from the BB that you send yourself a copy, however I can't get onto the BIS account to fix the filter.... I only have one account, a gmail account, and when I tried to register with BIS it said that an account already existed with my pin, so I had it send the user and password to my BB, and the txt said use your phone to access BIS... What am I doing wrong? I have verizon btw.

Thanks

Did you try that from your device or from your PC?

If you got the device from someone else, have them delete the account if possible, or call Verizon.

Ok so I figured it out.

Went to "Email Settings" it too me online and then I went to "Create a Username" and followed the instructions. Then I logged on the PC using my new username and password, set up the filter and BAM, no more sent copies emailed to myself.... awesome!

Simple as that, and it worked perfectly.

That seems odd. How did you integrate your gmail account with BIS without logging into BIS prior to this?

My (ex) wife got this on her Verizon Pearl as well, and I think when I got my Pearl I was able to set up email accounts prior to creating an account. Also, when I got an insurance replacement last week, I would click email setup and it didn't ever ask me to log in, just add new email addresses or create an @vzw.blackberry.net email address. I actually had to log into BIS from the PC to be able to switch the PIN there
