Hi all,

I have a personal BB 7290 on BIS picking up my GMail. When I create meeting requests with Outlook 2007 / Exchange on my work desktop I want to be able to add my home account (xyz@gmail.com) as a meeting invitee and have the meeting appear on my BB.

Occasionally when I have tried this it does work. IE./ I create a meeting, invite myself at home, and when I get the request on my BB I accept it and it goes into my calendar. However it only works occasionally and despite no changes (that's I'm aware of) most of the time it will appear looking like a normal email with the date details as part of the message body.

Is there something missing to get this working fully? I know OS 4.1 is reasonably old so support won't necessarily be perfect, but it's just odd that it sometimes works. I've looked at old meeting requests that have worked and I can't spot anything different to new meetings that are failing. :(

For my BB and work (Outlook 2003/Exchange) I've always had a rule setup for anything that is sent to only me it gets forwarded to my BB's BIS email (***@tmo.blackberry.net). When a meeting invitation gets sent to the phone and I accept it, its always been added to the calendar no problem. If you wanted to have every meeting request sent to your phone for you to accept, I think you should be able to specify a rule for just meeting requests and have it do a "redirect to" as the action.

Not sure why its failing but you could always try it the way above and see if it works.

On that OS, I would go to my service books and remove all of my cical accts except the one from my work email That will force it to be your default which I think is the issue

I only have one CICAL entry, which is for my BIS GMail account. I tried deleting that, but calendar invitations still appear just as emails.

My work email account is not connected to my BB - I'm sending a Outlook/Exchange meeting request to GMail, which is picked up on my BB through BIS.
